~Biography~
Heather Bonahoom has performed Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway as well as in Chicago, regional and stock theatre. Recently, she completed staged readings for two new musicals entitled Joe Bean (starring Bradley Dean of Broadway's Spamalot) and The Really Big Pirate Show. Some of Heather's most memorable roles on stage include, Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, Fredrika Armfeldt in A Little Night Music (starring Jim Walton) and Millie Owens in Picnic, all at the Wagon Wheel Theatre, as well as her roles in two new musicals at The Theatre Building in Chicago. She was seen as Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden at Canterbury Summer Theatre and at The Kirkland Fine Arts Center. Heather portrayed Hilda Miller in Plain and Fancy at the National home of Plain and Fancy, The Round Barn Theatre. She performed multiple roles in A Year With Frog and Toad at The Actors Theatre of Indiana and portrayed Mary Warren in The Crucible at Millikin University.
Heather has also done extensive work for film and television. She just finished shooting the pilot of Boardwalk Empire, a new series on HBO with director Martin Scorsese. She has also recently completed her first television episode portraying the role of Betty Lou Jensen for the Court (Tru) TV series Haunting Evidence. Other film credits include, Post Meridian a SAG Short Film competing in the Doorpost Film Competition. Heather has done work for a Warner Brother’s Digital 2.0 series, as well as work in several student films at schools including New York University and The New York Film Academy.
Heather was a part of the 50th Anniversary Gala celebration at The Wagon Wheel Theatre where she was able to share the stage with Faith Prince as well as Michael McCormick, Kate Shindle and Jim Walton. She has had the pleasure in her career to work with Bradley Dean, Jim Walton, Ethan Popp, Mark Ledbetter, Maurice Murphy, Sara Gettelfinger, Ann Whitney, McKinley Carter, Beckie Menzie, Doug Peck and Jess McLeod to name a few. Heather graduated from Millikin University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and is currently a resident of New York City.
